Greetings TEDxFlourCity Fans!

Welcome to March! While spring still feels far away, we've got the next best thing: we are so excited to be hosting our Kickoff Event next week! This free event is on March 11 (a Wednesay) at 6pm in the beautiful pent house office spaces of the First Federal Building.

Our events are always a great networking opportunity for up and coming thought leaders in the Rochester community. Whether you are into networking and great conversation, or just want to enjoy some TED talks, hors d'oeuvres and a beautfiul view of the city with like-minded people, you won't want to miss this! If you would like to attend all you have to do is register here. Space is limited so do that soon. We look forward to seeing many of you there!

And now another TEDxFlourCity2014 flashback. Or should I say, a flashback within a flashback...

If you are interested in speaking at our next event, or know of anyone who would be great, shoot us an email or send them our way: william@tedxflourcity.com

Now it's time to highlight another TEDxFlourCity2014 speaker...

Season's Greetings TEDxFlourCity fans!

If you’ve ever wanted to understand what causes heart disease or how it can be prevented, Dr. Irfan Khan of the Buffalo Heart Group is the person to talk to. Dr. Khan specializes in cardiac electrophysiology, the study of disorders of the heart’s rhythm. Sudden Cardiac Arrest, or Sudden Death syndrome, is his main focus, and a major objective of his practice is to spread awareness, increase understanding, and spur preventative action in those at risk, or who know someone at risk, from succumbing to it.

Good morning Flour City!

The internet is a catalyst for combining the ideas, feelings and energy of billions of people around the globe. This week’s highlighted TEDxFlourCity2014 speaker reminds us of the power we all have to make a difference by reaching out across the ocean of the internet and offering a hand.

Greetings TEDxFlourCity community!

Have you ever:

  • Used Craigslist's free section?
  • Lent someone your car when you were away?
  • How about participated in a potluck?

If so, you have engaged in a transaction of a sharing economy. M. Andre Primus is helping to increase awareness about Rochester's local sharing economy and explain how you can benefit by getting involved. Read on to find out more…

TEDxFlourCity fans, supporters and family…

This blogger apologizes for the long hiatus from posting. The Fall brought changes and a few curveballs, as life sometimes does. But fear not, you have NOT been abandoned.

Like the Winter wind as it rushes in, it’s time to blow the Fall dust off of the blog and bring you the inside scoop and speaker commentary on the remaining TEDxFlourCity2014 talks.

Welcome back, and check it out:

It's Friday TEDxFlourCity Fans!

We hope you have had a great week so far! We had a fun start to the week on Monday September 15 when we hosted our first salon of our salon series this season at Joe Bean! Despite the Festival of Food and other exciting events capturing the attention of our busy city we packed a full house—standing room only spaces included! Stay tuned to the blog later this month for a recap of our “Power of Public Spaces” salon.

This week we highlight another outstanding performance from TEDxFlourCity2014.
