TEDxFlourCity2015 is just over a month away! Our Kickoff Event on March 11th  gave TEDx-ers a taste of what to expect at the main event. The weather was beautiful and the crowd was buzzing with excitement as we filled the UFO-shaped pent house office space of CloudSmartz.

From 21 stories up, we engaged all of the senses with new perspectives…

opportunities to engage creativity…

reflect and remember…

build…

spaghetti-marshmallow-tower challenge

and taste…

Pizza from the Pizza Stop

...and cider from Blue Toad Hard Cider were served.

As dusk arrived we took a break for a few big announcements. We announced this year's TEDxFlourCity theme, and the opening of our audience application. We then revealed the TEDxFlourCity2015 speakers who had been mingling in the crowd.

TEDxFlourCity2015 speakers were in attendance! From L to R: Phyllis Peters, Kelly Clark, Gabrielle Javier-Cerulli, Christopher Teal, Callie Babbit and Cathy Rasmussen

After the announcements we took advantage of the 360 degree photo op of the city at sunset from 94 meters up.

As usual our crowd was excited, engaging and ready to make connections with each other.

As the night wound down we turned down the lights for a final scenic photo op

TEDxFlourCity2015:Branch Out is May 30—if you want to join us in the audience, it’s free! But you have to sign up here —spaces are limited. We will have even more interactive surprises and opportunities to meet excited, engaging, involved Rochesterians and truly experience being a part of the TEDxFlourCity community.
